1000 Series     Introduced in 1987, the 1000 Series range was Perkins' response to increasing market demands for quieter engines with greater productivity and lower running costs. The 1000 Series engines benefit from Perkins' own Quadram combustion system which was, and is, the secret behind their quiet operation, and real gains in power and torque. All squeezed from even less fuel.

These engines benefit from many other quality design features but none at the expense of the previous product virtues. Similar hook up points and a full range of options ensure a seamless takeover from those before it. But, over 7 million 4 & 6 litre predecessors to the 1000 Series range, including the renowned 4.236 and 6.354 family, ensures the one benefit which only Perkins could provide- experience.
