ENGINAIRE precleaners are designed to remove most of the contaminants from the air
that feeds the engine. The advantages of removing these contaminants are extended filter
life, improved fuel economy and extended engine life. Turbochargers, blowers, cylinder
liners, piston rings and engine oil all fail because of contamination. The ENGINAIRE
precleaner is a precision manufactured product and a full range of models are available to
fit most engines.

INSIDE THE ENGINAIREPRECLEANER Free engine intake air powers
the ENGINAIRE precleaner. Incoming air is drawn through the angled louver plates (1)
which direct the intake air to turn the stainless steel rotor (2) which is mounted on dual (2)
precision ground heavy duty bearings (3). The centrifugal force caused by the spinning
motion of the rotor separates the contaminants from the air, throwing them to the inner
perimeter of the cover (4) and expelling them out through the discharge port (5). The
clean dry air is drawn into the plenum chamber (6) and then into the engine (7).

HOW TO DETERMINE THE PROPER MODEL PRECLEANER

To determine the proper ENGINAIRE model the following procedure should be followed.
Refer to the equipment model listing. Verify the engine and aspiration. If the equipment
model is not listed or the engine is different refer to the engine listing to select the proper model
ENGINAIRE. You will need to know: 

  1. Engine model
  2. Cubic inch displacement(C.I.D.)
  3. Maximum engine operating R.P.M.
  4. Aspiration (Naturally aspirated, Turbo-charged, Turbo-charged inner cooled
    or after cooled)
  5. Measure outside diameter of the air intake pipe
